Was there for dinner. Food was mediocre and extremely overpriced, but what really got me was the insulting "nickel and diming" coming from a restaurant with high-end prices (see $5 bread, which gets you 5 slices of bread on par with what you get for free at any basic restaurant).

We complained about one of our dishes and instead of the waitress offering to take it back or exchange our dish, she sat down and gave us a heart to heart about why it was her favorite dish and she loved it and how it was supposed to taste "slimy" - yes that's an exact quote. It was very weird, especially for a "nice" place that should have good service coming with it's very expensive price tag.

The real kicker came when I told my parents I had gone to this place last night and they said "oh no... not there!"

Turns out they had a similar story. Coming in for a martini and getting dinged an unmentioned $2.50 extra fee on the bill. When my dad inquired as to what it was, they said it was for the olives in the martini - seriously.

Do you think Per Se and Daniel and EMP pull stuff like this? No in the least.

I had a good restaurant give me an entire bottle of olives for free once because I told them I loved them so much.

The interior is nice, the place has potential, hopefully the owner and his wife (whom we met) see this as an opportunity for improvement.

If you guys need more cash, there are better ways to do that than charging your customers $2.50 for olives and $5 for bread and seeing them never come back again.

No question, most of the "5 Star" reviews this place has are from friends and family in town. Not that hard to game the system.

Hopefully this review will steer a few people clear.

If you're looking for a high-end experience in Hudson there are way better places to go.

Great food, great ambiance and service! The place is warm and cozy. The decor is somewhere between a country house and a hunting lodge. Very nice exposed brick wall near where we sat added so much to the look and feel of the place.

I just had the most beautiful dinner. Anyone looking for a great, fine dining experience, I suggest here. I have been waiting to come for a long time, and was not disappointed.

I cannot possibly understand why this restaurant has even one good review. The service was curt and mediocre at it's best. The portions ridiculously minimal. The food was not local, but "from the north east", perhaps they should have searched the mid atlantic for a wider source of vegetable sourcing. In late May the oysters were from northern Maine, the fish from off the coast of Boston, etc. I don't know where the asparagus was from, but to find it I had to search the plate. 18$and three strands , but the sauce was out of this world The sources had to be asked/requested specifically and then answers were vague and best.
We left hungry. The wine list was good, but hard to decipher and not well organized. The bottle we chose was just over 100$ and not memorable.
I could go on but I don't want to be hyper -critical.
